As with all of my albums, this project follows my protocol of being conceptual. The idea of "Views of a Lifetime" was stems from continuing the journey of my last album "Keep Me Company". That album spoken deeply about growth, and this project deals with looking back on "what was", after you've settled into this new world of said growth. Looking at the life you lived as you go into the life you are now living, the views of that lifetime are now front and center, and you are dealing with reflecting on what was worth it and what wasn't. All of the goals and dreams and ideas that you may have had in your beginning stages are now coming full circle, or not. Recognizing the growth that you have now become comfortable with, your view of your previous life has changed, and you can reflect on It and realize how you got to where you are. Hence the title, "Views of a Lifetime".

The lead single, "Sky is Like", is a modern take on the classic "Nas is Like" by the iconic team of Nas and DJ Premier. As someone who was in high school when that song first dropped, I lived the momentum of that record firsthand. Years later, I came up with the idea of making my own version of the classic, spinning it in my own way, and without speaking about Nas at all on the record, still using it to serve as in homage to Nas and Preemo of sorts just off of the love that I, like everyone else in hip-hop, has for that song. "Sky is Like" is me bringing my own lyrical barrage front and center the way I idolized Nas doing on the OG version in 1999. Production wise, I called my friend and frequent collaborator DJ Manipulator who is an avid Preemo fan and explained the idea to him. I knew he was the perfect person to handle the musical landscape of such an iconic record. The main thing that I wanted to do with the song was not sample Nas is Like or make the beat the same as Nas and Preemo did. I wanted this to be an original beat with of course my own original penmanship, while using the Nas is Like scheme and changing it to Sky is like as a spring board for my lyrical schemes. Honoring our legends while incorporating our own originality is the best way to keep the sport and culture of it all alive.

Skyzoo’s "Keep Me Company" is a study of resilience and memory, capturing life shaped by enduring legacies. Each verse unfolds like a chapter in an epic, rooted in strength and identity. Through vivid imagery, Skyzoo invites listeners into his world, where cultural inheritance and self-growth coexist. His lyrics honor the past while reaching forward, blending introspection with grit. The production, textured and reverent, amplifies his vision without overshadowing it. Keep Me Company is both anthem and testament, a fierce reminder of survival’s beauty, the dignity of struggle, and the poetry found in perseverance.

"When making this album, I wanted to do something that creatively pushed a button. Something that served a purpose while trying to understand both sides of the fence that it represents. The idea of a fictional character, Franklin Saint, and what his innermost thoughts could be when dealing with the fictional world he’s caught within. What makes it so intriguing is that his character and his world are mirrors of a time and era that really happened. The birth of one of the world’s most addictive drugs and how its ripple effect took on a life that may seemingly never die. The crack era was one of the worst chapters in black America’s story. Using the “Snowfall” series as a vehicle to delve into both sides was truly fascinating as an emcee. It’s a project that is layered beyond measure. If you’ve never seen Snowfall, you’ll think it’s a really great album, but if you’re an avid fan of Snowfall, you’ll truly feel as if Franklin, the conflicted boy genius turned millionaire and career criminal, truly did pick up a pen and pad to write his life story over a bed of beats. It was one of the most intense projects I’ve ever written. The idea of becoming a fictional character which represents actual real life events, making sure to hit every detail, be it from both the show and our real world, was a writing work out like no other. I’m honored to have been able to do so, and I’m honored that The Other Guys trusted me to step outside of a box and truly push the envelope with this. Enjoy, and remember, like they told us in the 80’s: just say no." -Skyzoo

Following the success of the initial release, Skyzoo and The Other Guys present their sequel of sorts with the deluxe edition of "The Mind of a Saint", their critically acclaimed concept album which debuted at number 1 on the hip hop charts in the country upon release week.

The album, which sees the fictional character Franklin Saint of the heralded FX series "Snowfall" step into a vocal booth and tell his story as an early 80's drug kingpin, suffering from the grief and stresses that come with the title. The original release saw members of the television series speak openly about the project, including the show's lead character, actor Damson Idris, who spoke glowingly of the album in Rolling Stone.

After the series wrapped, Skyzoo and The Other Guys went back into the studio to let Franklin wrap up his story to align with the show's finale. A darker turn than its predecessor, this deluxe edition adds 7 extra songs, clocking in at 40+ minutes of new music, with Skyzoo once again channeling his inner Franklin Saint and letting the heartache pour one final time before the book is closed.
